Course description

The Master’s Degree Course in ‘Telecommunication Engineering: Smart Sensing, Computing and Networking’ meets the need to train professionals in the field of Telecommunication Engineering, that will fulfill the specific employment requirements of the area, and can work in wider contexts of the labor market, even on an international level.  The program provides a multidisciplinary training, delivered in English, ranging in the fields of radio waves, computer science, networks and telecommunications systems, with seminars and internships in research centers and ICT companies.

 

Graduates in classes L-8 ex DM270/04 and L-9 ex DM509/99; graduates in any class who have acquired: 12ETCS in the SSD MAT/02,/03,/04,/05,/06,/07,/08,/09; 12ETCS in the SSD CHIM/07 and FIS/01; 12ETCS in the SSD ING-INF/02 and ING-INF/03; 6ETCS in the SSD ING-INF/01, INF/01 and ING-INF/05; candidates/and students with a foreign degree related to class L-8

 

Training of professionals with high expertise on IoT systems and applications, wireless sensors, next generation mobile networks (5G/6G), smart antennas, modern radar systems, cloud/edge computing, as well as networks and programmable devices for modern communication technologies

 

Contexts where design, production and management skills are required such as telecommunications networks and systems, radar systems for mobility and smart localization, advanced applications for innovative ICT services (‘smart health’, ‘smart city’, ‘smart home’, environmental monitoring, telemedicine)

Training of professionals with high expertise on IoT systems and applications, wireless sensors, next generation mobile networks (5G/6G), smart antennas, modern radar systems, cloud/edge computing, as well as networks and programmable devices for modern communication technologies

 

Fees, contributions and exemptions

Costs calculated based on family income (ISEE-University) and including:

  • fee for the equal access to university studies (from 130€ to 160€);
  • annual amount (from 0 (if ISEE-University <= € 22,000) to € 2,000);

Flat tax = €1,000 for international students (UE and non UE)

With a family income (ISEE-University < € 24,000) students are entitled to receive:

  • Scholarship consisting of total exemption from taxes, cash share, canteen and accommodation service (for off-site students)
  • Grants for international mobility
  • Reduced rates for the use of sports facilities and cultural services
  • Benefits for students completing their degrees within regulation time

Exclusively on grounds of merit, students can obtain:
