Course description
The Master’s Degree in Physics aims to complete the basic general training acquired with the Bachelor’s Degree and to offer specific advanced training in the main areas of physics, strongly supporting a multidisciplinary approach, which is reflected in various curricula. It is possible to specialize in Astrophysics, Geophysics and Plasma Physics, Matter Physics, Physics and Technology of Materials, Nuclear and Subnuclear Physics, Atmospheric Physics, Meteorology and Climatology. Students can choose 2 further multidisciplinary courses within the characterizing curriculum
Candidates with a three-year degree in class L-30 (DM 270/04) or 25 (DM 509/99) or any other degree with at least 50 ECTS in Physics and 24 ECTS in Mathematics. Candidates will be interviewed to assess their logical-deductive skills, basic knowledge of Physics and Mathematics and knowledge of English at B2 level
Training experts who are able to describe the phenomena of the physical world and build theoretical interpretative models; master programming languages for physical applications and for “big data” analysis; work independently, without compromising teamwork skills, and communicate fluently in English
Research in basic and applied physics in both public and private sectors: R&D in industries; radiation protection in healthcare companies; software development, data analysis and modeling of complex systems in financial, insurance and consulting companies. Graduates can also apply for PhDs and postgraduate specializations
